This dataset was taken from the list of OpenIntro dataset files found at https://www.openintro.org/data/. OpenIntro features a number of free books that can be used in high school and AP statistics courses. The license on these datasets is currently unknown. You can find out more about OpenIntro at https://www.openintro.org. heart_transplantThe Stanford University Heart Transplant Study was conducted to determinewhether an experimental heart transplant program increased lifespan. Eachpatient entering the program was designated officially a heart transplantcandidate, meaning that he was gravely ill and would most likely benefitfrom a new heart. Then the actual heart transplant occurs between a fewweeks to several months depending on the availability of a donor.
