This dataset was taken from the list of OpenIntro dataset files found at https://www.openintro.org/data/. OpenIntro features a number of free books that can be used in high school and AP statistics courses. The license on these datasets is currently unknown. You can find out more about OpenIntro at https://www.openintro.org. oringsOn January 28, 1986, a routine launch was anticipated for the Challengerspace shuttle. Seventy-three seconds into the flight, disaster happened: theshuttle broke apart, killing all seven crew members on board. Aninvestigation into the cause of the disaster focused on a critical sealcalled an O-ring, and it is believed that damage to these O-rings during ashuttle launch may be related to the ambient temperature during the launch. The table below summarizes observational data on O-rings for 23 shuttlemissions, where the mission order is based on the temperature at the time ofthe launch.
