On this Picostat.com statistics page, you will find information about the nuclear data set which pertains to Nuclear Power Station Construction Data. The nuclear data set is found in the boot R package. Try to load the nuclear data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("nuclear"). This may load the data into a variable called nuclear. If R says the nuclear data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("boot") and then attempt to reload the data with library("boot") followed by data("nuclear"). Perhaps strangley, if R gives you no output after entering a command, it means the command succeeded. If it succeeded you can see the data by typing nuclear at the command-line which should display the entire dataset. If you need to download R, you can go to the R project website. You can download a CSV (comma separated values) version of the nuclear R data set. The size of this file is about 1,194 bytes. Nuclear Power Station Construction DataDescriptionThe The data relate to the construction of 32 light water reactor (LWR) plants constructed in the U.S.A in the late 1960's and early 1970's. The data was collected with the aim of predicting the cost of construction of further LWR plants. 6 of the power plants had partial turnkey guarantees and it is possible that, for these plants, some manufacturers' subsidies may be hidden in the quoted capital costs.
