R Dataset / Package Stat2Data / Speed
On this Picostat.com statistics page, you will find information about the Speed data set which pertains to Speed. The Speed data set is found in the Stat2Data R package. Try to load the Speed data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("Speed"). This may load the data into a variable called Speed. If R says the Speed data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("Stat2Data") and then attempt to reload the data with library("Stat2Data") followed by data("Speed"). Perhaps strangley, if R gives you no output after entering a command, it means the command succeeded. If it succeeded you can see the data by typing Speed at the command-line which should display the entire dataset.

Highway fatality rates 1987-2007
A dataset with 21 observations on the following 3 variables.
In 1987 the federal government allowed the speed limit on interstate highways to be 65 mph in most areas. In 1995 federal restrictions were eliminated, so that states assumed control of setting speed limits on interstate highways. This data set compares fatality rates for years before and after the states assumed control for highway speed limits.
