On this Picostat.com statistics page, you will find information about the immi3 data set which pertains to Individual Preferences Over Immigration Policy. The immi3 data set is found in the Zelig R package. Try to load the immi3 data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("immi3"). This may load the data into a variable called immi3. If R says the immi3 data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("Zelig") and then attempt to reload the data with library("Zelig") followed by data("immi3"). Perhaps strangley, if R gives you no output after entering a command, it means the command succeeded. If it succeeded you can see the data by typing immi3 at the command-line which should display the entire dataset. If you need to download R, you can go to the R project website. You can download a CSV (comma separated values) version of the immi3 R data set. The size of this file is about 74,885 bytes. Individual Preferences Over Immigration PolicyDescriptionThese five datasets are part of a larger set of 10 multiply imputed data sets describing individual preferences toward immigration policy. Imputation was performed via Amelia. FormatEach multiply-inputed data set consists of a table with 7 variables ("ipip", "wage1992", "prtyid", "ideol", "gender") and 2,485 observations. For variable descriptions, please refer to Scheve and Slaugher, 2001.
